Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) safely and legally on local and regional routes throughout the Chicago area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen certification.
- Ability to operate various types of trailers, including dry vans and flatbeds.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Ability to pass a background check and a physical agility assessment.
