Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport freight safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork (Bills of Lading).
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
