Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on local and long-haul routes, including potential California assignments.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and daily logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring goods arrive at their destination in pristine condition.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws to minimize risk.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedule changes or delivery issues.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Class 1 Medical Certification).
- 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Familiarity with navigation systems and ELD technology.
