Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers to deliver freight to designated customers in the Los Angeles metro area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, HOS) in strict compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
- Interact professionally with clients and ensure timely delivery schedules are met.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and negative drug screen results.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELD).
