Job Overview
As a Class A CDL Driver for Swift Logistics, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. We operate a diverse fleet and offer various freight types to keep your routes interesting.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic daily inspection reports (DAIR).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Experience in flatbed or dry van preferred but willing to train qualified candidates.
- Basic knowledge of GPS and electronic logging devices.
