Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (dry van or flatbed) throughout the Oakland and Bay Area region.
- Execute efficient loading and unloading of cargo to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues professionally.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Achieved a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (medical card required).
- Must be at least 21 years of age and willing to submit to a background check.
- Strong knowledge of commercial trucking operations and navigation.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Experience with Hazardous Materials (HazMat) or Tanker endorsements is a plus but not required.
