Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated delivery points.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain all delivery documentation.
- Secure cargo properly and ensure weight distribution is within legal limits.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT compliance and safety regulations.
