Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including Class A and Class B trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secured and protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to receivers and shippers at delivery and pickup locations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, traffic delays, or mechanical issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and a current DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
