Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) and ensure proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and in excellent mechanical condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
