Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, legal, and professional manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and vehicle logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to minimize risk.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MVR).
- 3+ years of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and a drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of highway and local traffic laws.
- Ability to lift and handle freight, including cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
