Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Verify and inspect cargo for damage and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Uphold a professional image at all times while representing Miami Transport Inc.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical on file.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Miami traffic patterns and local geography is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
