Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely using straps, chains, and cargo bars to ensure safe transport.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients at delivery sites.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and hazardous material handling procedures when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screening compliance.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Strong ability to read maps, GPS systems, and delivery manifests.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
