Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to transport freight to designated delivery points in the San Francisco area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, FMCSA rules, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Handle cargo responsibly, ensuring it is secure and protected from damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills.
