Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and legally, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT Hours of Service) and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive in various weather conditions and navigate complex routes within the San Diego area.
- Uphold a high standard of cleanliness for the company vehicle.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic understanding of mechanical vehicle maintenance.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and sit for extended periods.
