Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and record daily logbooks accurately.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack) ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Navigate efficiently through traffic and construction zones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area, adhering to company appearance standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and criminal history verification.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor during loading/unloading.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
