Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on regional and local delivery routes within California and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securement standards are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic patterns.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
