Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and equipment.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is properly secured and protected against damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs (ELD) and documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and shippers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Conduct daily vehicle cleanliness checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and handle the physical demands of the job (lifting, climbing, etc.).
- Reliable cell phone and internet access for communication.
