Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport goods to designated delivery points in the Boston metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety and maintenance standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads against shifting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at each stop.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- A current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with a clean driving history (no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Basic computer literacy for logging duties and communication.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings or late afternoons.
