Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout the Wichita area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment.
- Complete daily electronic logging device (ELD) reports accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving environment and a professional appearance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) is required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (typically 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
