Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight on time and within DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment while ensuring cargo security and integrity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documents.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines in the Charlotte metro area and surrounding NC regions.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including seatbelt usage and speed limits, to ensure zero accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for paperwork and toll payments.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
