Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks and trailers safely and efficiently during night shifts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Ensure the security of cargo during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and be insurable.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Experience in local or long-haul truck driving is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work night shifts.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
