Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and document findings.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, route changes, and delivery times.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to obtain or maintain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements as required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, cargo securement, and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
