Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
- Keep the truck clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo manually (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company protocols.
- Basic proficiency with handheld devices and logistics software.
