Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securement according to FMCSA regulations.
- Complete thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and fleet managers regarding schedules and delays.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current, valid DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, cargo securement, and safety regulations.
- Willingness to travel regionally and inter-state as needed.
