Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to transport freight to designated locations on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe driving environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card).
- 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for loading and unloading.
- Valid DOT medical card and willingness to obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements if required.
