Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on highways and local roads.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Uphold a clean driving record and safety standards at all times.
- Manage inventory and documentation for interstate travel to Illinois and beyond.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to cross state lines (Oklahoma to Illinois).
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor vehicle repairs if needed.
