Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes throughout the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) meeting federal standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and a drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and operate hand controls if applicable.
