Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logbooks (ELD) and electronic reporting systems.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license issued by the State of California.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce (or 18 for intrastate).
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and documentation.
