Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and equipment.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and paperwork (DVIR, bills of lading, delivery receipts).
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and satisfactory background check.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
