Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe, efficient, and legal manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or changes.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and a professional work ethic.
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and fuel management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading/unloading.
