Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A) in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and keep paperwork organized.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delays or issues.
- Uphold the company's high standards for customer service and professional driving conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screening clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and substance abuse screening.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
