Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, defensive, and efficient manner on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, adhering to all safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members throughout the shift.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and Department of Transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (CDL Class A preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must possess a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no serious violations.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and climbing into the cab.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
