Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately while adhering to safety protocols and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to perform vehicle checks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
