Job Overview
As a CDL Driver for Prime Logistics, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight across New England and beyond. We pride ourselves on our customer service and driver-first approach.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and cargo handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends if necessary.
