Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) on highways and local routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required by FMCSA.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Document delivery times, cargo condition, and mileage accurately in logs.
- Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and protected during transit.
- Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime during peak seasons.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
