Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B delivery trucks to transport goods to designated locations throughout San Francisco.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery points to ensure satisfaction and accurate signature collection.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and route planning schedules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B (Commercial Driver's License) with the appropriate endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker if applicable).
- A current and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Strong knowledge of local San Francisco geography, traffic patterns, and street layouts.
- Ability to work flexible night shift hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and performing manual labor during loading/unloading.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight, or package delivery is preferred.
