Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries within the Dallas metroplex and surrounding areas.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers, maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) documentation (DOT, IFTA).
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring cargo security.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe driving practices.
- Willingness to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) as scheduled.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and climbing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
