Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations on time and in good condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and HOS compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during stops.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card on file.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
