Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations safely and efficiently.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT compliant) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service during stops, including handling paperwork and proof of delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws.
