Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes within DC/MD/VA
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous logbooks
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques
- Deliver freight on time to commercial and residential locations
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and safety documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer decks
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Strong knowledge of DC metro area navigation
- HAZMAT certification preferred
- Flexible schedule including overnight trips
- Team player with excellent communication skills
