Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and delivery vans along designated routes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Cargo Handling: Load, unload, and secure cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and timesheets as required by DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients at delivery sites, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any issues promptly.
- Route Planning: Adhere to assigned schedules and routes, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and pass a DOT physical examination.
- Background Check: Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use a handheld scanner or tablet.
