Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional freight delivery routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and timing
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Handle paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
- Excellent time management and communication skills
