Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over long and short distances in various weather conditions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and secure cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution and load security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT drug screen on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent DUIs or serious moving violations.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Ability to pass a background check and criminal history screening.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and occasional overtime.
