Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently on long-haul routes from DC to Texas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent major violations.
- Availability to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) and some holidays.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of logistics and time management.
