Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A or Class B trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes within the San Jose area and surrounding regions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA safety standards.
- Safely load and unload cargo using proper techniques and equipment, ensuring cargo security during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding schedule changes and delivery issues.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) valid for at least 90 days.
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) consistently.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hazardous material handling (if applicable), and cargo securement.
- Willingness to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
