Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently to transport freight across the United States.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, delivery schedules, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license required (with appropriate endorsements).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (Medical Card).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work flexible weekend schedules, including nights and holidays.
- Basic understanding of GPS and electronic logging systems.
