Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Ohio and Virginia
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS guidelines for weekend shifts
- Load/unload freight with precision and care at customer facilities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks and report issues promptly
- Support warehouse operations during peak loading/unloading periods
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills with familiarity with Ohio/Virginia roadways
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible weekend schedules (Sat/Sun 6am-6pm)
- Professional communication skills for client interactions
