Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers for long-haul and regional routes across Texas
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Manage loading/unloading procedures at various warehouse locations
- Maintain electronic logging system (ELD) compliance at all times
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
