Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner to ensure on-time delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate logs (electronic or paper) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck cabin and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong understanding of road safety, traffic patterns, and cargo handling.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
