Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and map reading.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and sit for extended periods.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
